Uncle Henrys are taking over on the Saturday of Dirt Don’t Hurt Festival to bring us an afternoon of alternative, fun and lively entertainment.
Originally a pub in Newbury, Uncle Henrys was a lively social space and the starting point for many alternative bands. The pub offered a social space for misfits and creatives to hang out. It was a place that Amy frequented and, like so many others, formed solid and lasting friendships.
In October 2006, the Uncle Henrys pub burned down and with it went the thriving music scene it had created.
In 2016, an all-day musical reunion was held, bringing back together creative souls, rekindling friendships and raising money for charity in the process.
We are proud to announce that we have teamed up with the organisers so that the spirit of Uncle Henrys can be continued whilst we celebrate Amy’s unique, creative spirit.
Watch this space as we will be announcing the takeover bands soon!
Whilst the event has taken place, you can still donate to Thames Hospice via Justgiving:
